POSITION SUMMARY: Regional Marketing Specialist

The Specialist collaborates regularly with local and regional marketing colleagues, project teams, stakeholders and leaders across departments and organization, including business units, service lines and communications along with other key stakeholders in the organization.

Ideal candidates will possess unmatched drive and enthusiasm for the Steward Health Care mission, vision and values. We’re looking for a dynamic individual with experience in health care marketing and a strong talent for strategic thinking. Experience/knowledge using consumer & competitor insights, industry trends and other data to become a subject matter expert in the service lines aligned with this position is strongly suggested and preferred.

Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Marketing Specialist organizes and facilitates marketing activities for Mountain Vista Medical Center, Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital and additional Arizona Steward Health Care facilities as needed.

  • Public Relations – Research, write and distribute press releases, press pitches and assist in facility pressers as needed.
  • Marketing – work closely with hospital marketing director s to develop and implement strategic marketing plans, work with corporate marketing team and vendors to ensure plans are being facilitated correctly and kept on budget.

  • Community Relations – find new opportunities for community involvement, set up and help facilities events, secure medical providers to attend, etc. for both hospitals and Steward Medical Group
  • Social Media – Create content and help develop and manage Steward Health Care facility Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn social pages
  • Reputation Management – Review and respond to market-wide Google reviews submitted by patients, family members, etc.
  • Internal Communications – Write, design and distribute weekly/monthly newsletters for Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital and Mountain Vista Medical Center; help create internal memos for internal communication boards.
  • Promotional materials – help produce different types of hospital and clinic promotional materials as needed, including flyers, posters, banner, brochures, etc.
  • Special events – help develop, organize and facilitate hospital and Steward Medical Group special events as needed (I.e., Town Halls, Holiday Meals, Coffee Cart Rounding, Doctors’ Day, EMS Week, Hospital Week, etc.), including ordering any materials or giveaway items associated with the event.
  • Committee Support – participate in hospital committee groups to help determine how to promote service lines, events, etc. (I.e., Stroke Committee, Daisy Nurse Award Committee, etc.)
  • Website – manage hospital websites and facilitate updates as needed, including maintenance of DoctorFinder physician directory.
  • Steward Medical Group – Facilitate all new SMG physician onboarding with help from hospital marketing directors as needed.
  • Other marketing duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field of business required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing or communications position with brand strategy and project management knowledge. Experience in healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SproutSocial and Podium. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design program a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal and phone skills, including the ability to conduct meetings and make presentations to diverse groups in different settings, knowledge of AP style writing.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to represent Steward Health Care well in the community and at community events.
