Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and women’s services. Florence Hospital, a campus of Mountain View Medical Center, is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency care, as well as surgical, imaging and laboratory services to residents of Pinal County. The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical programs of the Pharmacy Departments for the Arizona Steward Market. This position will utilize Steward Health Care resources to provide safe and effective clinical pharmacy programs at the hospital. This position will assist the Director of Pharmacy to assure all legal, regulatory, and accrediting requirements are maintained at the best demonstrated practice and assure clinical pharmacy services and activities are carried out to meet goals and standards of Steward Health Care. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Manager may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.
The Clinical Manager will serve as an active member of the pharmacy management team providing leadership for clinical programs, formulary management, cost containment programs, and improved pharmacoeconomic outcomes. The Clinical Manager will build and enhance professional relationships with pharmacy staff, other healthcare providers, and management. The Clinical Manager will communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and maintain a professional presence throughout the hospital.
Graduate of college of Pharmacy accredited by ACPE or equivalent
Five years related Hospital Clinical Pharmacy experience and/or Postgraduate Year One Pharmacy Residency preferred
Current license to practice Pharmacy in state(s) and maintains all required CE and other state required certification(s).
Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification preferred
Maintains active membership in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists or other Pharmacy-related State or National organization.
